After a thorough briefing you will experience the excitement of riding on a Segway. At the same time you will learn background information and also some interesting anecdotes about Geneva’s well-known and some less well-known sites. On this tour of Geneva’s Old Town you will travel to the time of John Calvin and reformation.
You will first head through Rue Monthoux, a part of the lively old district of Pâquis before visiting the Brunswick Memorial. Across the street you can see the Jet d’Eau, the Mont-Blanc, and pass the Hotel des Bergues, the first luxury hotel of Geneva. At Place des Bergues you can admire the scenery of the harbor, the Water-Jet fountain, and Rousseau Island.
You will cross river Rhone at the Pont des Bergues before following Rue du Rhône. At Place Bel-Air you will turn left between the buildings, cross the busy Conféderation shopping street, and continue on the main street near the Old Town. You will visit Fontaine de l’Escalade and glide approximately 200 meters up Rue de la Cité to enter the library. You can also enjoy the beautiful view from the ancient city walls.
You will visit the old market before continuing on the main street of the Old Town, passing City Hall to reach St. Pierre Cathedral, the largest gothic cathedral in Switzerland. You will then continue on to Bourg-de-Four, the birthplace of Geneva. You will glide along to Parc des Bastions, the site of the first botanical garden in Geneva, and stop in front of the Reformation Wall before visiting the University of Geneva.
You will see the longest bench in the world on Promenade de la Treille as you head to the entrance to the old city wall. You will then pass the decorated buildings of Bel-Air and Pont-de-Ile. You will then head back to Rue Monthoux, the ending point of the tour.

Participants must be able to step onto the Segway (height 21 centimeters) without assistance. It is your responsibility to inform the staff of any disability. This tour is not suitable for pregnant women.
