What to Expect
A guided day tour of Connemara, an area famed for it’s unspoiled natural beauty and rugged landscapes. As you travel from Galway, listen to your expert driver/guide share the origin of the Irish language and how it is still the native language of Connemara, despite its diminishing status in the rest of Ireland. Exit the coach to visit iconic Irish landmarks independently and discover rivers and lakes that flow off The Twelve Pins Mountain Range to naturally shape this majestic region.

Stop in Leenane Village, a charming mountain-side town nestled along the Killary Fjord. This old world village was also the setting for the 1990 film 'The Field' starring Richard Harris and John Hurt.

You'll spend 2 hours exploring the breathtaking Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Walled Gardens. Located on a lake in Connemara, this abbey was built by Mitchell Henry as a gift to his wife, Margaret, who fell in love with Connemara after travelling there on her honeymoon!

Then, travel along the coast to An Spideal, a picturesque Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking) village and home to many traditional thatched roof homes and beautiful beaches.

You'll arrive back to Galway at approximately 5:30pm.
