Full description
Depart from Funchal and travel by 4WD vehicle towards Madeira's northwest coast, passing a stunning green landscape to locations such as Serra de Água. Journey along forgotten and enchanted old roads and get a glimpse into the island's everyday life. Go to Encumeada, where one of the island's famous walking trails leads to Madeira's highest peak. Pass through the laurel forests of Chão dos Louros and marvel at the mountains and valleys from Ginjas and Paul da Serra. Continue to Fanal in the middle of the Laurissilva Forest and then proceed to Porto do Moniz, famous for its natural swimming pools. If weather permits, enjoy the warmth of the sea or continue to Seixal known for its black sand beach. Stop for lunch (optional and not included) in Seixal, before continuing to the coastal town of São Vicente. Make your way back to Funchal at the end of the tour.

Too few activities in the afternoon, where time was mainly allocated for lunch (1.5 hours) and a little later for swimming enthusiasts (1 hour). The guide was an excellent driver, but his English was not always understandable. He was also not always very hospitable and sometimes a bit surly.

It was scary, it was scary... It was cool!!! Let's start with the fact that Lino picked us up from the ship on time and we went... We drove sharply, boldly, but at the same time the feeling of complete safety did not leave us. Lino drives like a god, he effortlessly overcomes any climbs, descents, turns, Schumacher just relaxes. And how many places we managed to see, the trip is in any case worth trying. A comfortable SUV awaits you with the ability to remove the roof and drive as if in a convertible. I haven’t felt so much sincere delight for a long time. Everyone.. No.. I recommend Green Devil Safari and Lino as a driver to absolutely everyone. You definitely won't regret it! 😀👍

Excellent way to see highlights of the island on a day trip! Kids loved being able to stand up amongst the eucalyptus trees through crazy off-road trails, and we had enough time at each stop to enjoy the locations. Porto Moniz - 2 hours, Seixal - 45 min, Fanal - 30 min. Highly recommend!
