With more than 200 species and 4 different habitats, Bioparc Fuengirola is one of the 15 best parks in the world and a member of European and international organizations aiming for the conservation and reproduction of endangered species worldwide.
What to Expect
Bioparc Fuengirola is involved in over 40 breeding programs in captivity for species in danger of extinction. The foundation also participates actively in the conservation in situ of species in danger of extinction and collaborates in projects of preservation in the hotspots of biodiversity. At Bioparc, you'll find animals from 4 different habitats: Madagascar, Equatorial Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Indo-Pacific region.
Activities for visitors in the park include the following:
- Animal feeding and enrichment. The animals that are fed change everyday, so you can live a different experience each time you visit.
- Birds and mammals exhibition. You will be able to see the birds flying and have a closer look at them. Experts will explain in-depth some of the main caracteristics of each of the animals shown.
- Visit the habitat of Madagascar and enjoy the lemurs. You will be able to see many different types of lemurs and be next to them with no barriers as you learn interesting facts about them.
