Beijing: Tiananmen Square Entry Registration Service

Tiananmen Square is one of the largest squares in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 sq. meters at the center of Beijing, and is spacious enough to hold a gathering attended by 1 million people. Its history can trace back to the Ming dynasty. And in the hundreds of years thereafter, it has witnessed the rises and falls of the empire, the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, the unprecedentedly large-scale demonstrations during the cultural revolution from 1966 to 1976, and the bloodshed in 1989. If the bricks paved on the ground can talk, each of them will have a lot of exciting or harrowing stories to share.

Beijing: The Forbidden City Entry Ticket

Beijing: The Forbidden City Entry Ticket

The Forbidden City (Gùgōng), located at the centre of Beijing, was the main palace of Imperial China for five centuries, until the early 20th century. It today houses the Palace Museum, one of China's largest national museums, with an extensive collection based on the former imperial collection. This is truly the spot to appreciate the might and grandeur of the Imperial Chinese court during the height of its power in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Constructed between 1406 and 1420 during the reign of Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the Forbidden City was home to 24 emperors and their families and acted as the ceremonial and political center of ancient Chinese government throughout 500 years. After the Last Emperor of China left the palace, it later became a museum open to the public in 1925. Since then, the Forbidden City is no longer ‘forbidden’, and now ordinary people are able to take a virtual trip in time to see the secrets and luxury of imperial life.

Our guided tour of the Forbidden City in Beijing was unforgettable, thanks to our amazing guide, Miko. His expertise and deep knowledge brought the history and culture of the site to life. Miko shared fascinating stories and details we would have never discovered on our own, making the tour both educational and engaging. What made Miko stand out was his friendly and approachable personality. He was professional, enthusiastic, and tailored the experience to our interests, keeping us captivated throughout. His passion for the Forbidden City’s history was contagious, and we left with a profound appreciation for its significance. We highly recommend this tour, especially with Miko as your guide. Thank you, Miko, for making our visit so memorable and enriching!

We had an excellent day with James. He was knowledgeable, flexible and always looking out for his customers. We did a tour of the Forbidden City museum which started at Tiananmen Square and added on a food tour across several Hutongs. The first half is a must for any traveller to Beijing but it was the food tour that truly delighted. James brought us to many holes-in-wall we wouldn’t have found on our own, inviting us to try a range of dishes that only the locals eat. He would explain to us what they were, how to eat them, and why they were popular in this part of China. The evening was exciting and delicious. Thank you for a great day!

The tour was excellent. I booked at the last minute, and I’m so glad I did. The meeting point was easy to find. Our guide, Linda, was fantastic with excellent English and she was really interesting and engaging. I would have chosen to do more tours with her if I had more time in Beijing. Tiannemen Sq is a place with so much history and the Forbidden City is so impressive. While you can of course go to both places alone, I think a guide adds some context that helps you to understand a place a little more. All in all a great experience. Thank you Linda!

Out tour guide Jianfeng was very professional and nice. He gave us a lot of information about our tour and about life w China. Thank You Jianfeng and hope so see You next time 🙂
