Take an airboat ride, and view alligators, turtles, and even the elusive Florida panther.  After paying the park admission fee, immerse yourself in swampland often referred to as the River of Grass. The park known as such because of the endless prairies of sawgrass that rise three to ten feet above the surface of the water. Encounter lush vegetation of the Everglades which also includes mangroves, cypress, palms, pines, and hardwood hammocks (small islands). The sawgrass is often so dense that travel is only possible through natural water passages. Ride on an airboat, which is designed to operate well in shallow water and marshlands. Propelled by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine, have a fast and fun journey. Complete your visit with a wildlife and alligator show. Very educational for children, adults and seniors. Heartwarming to see how well the animals are taken care of from their specific diets to their social time. Just loved it 5 years ago before the new facility was built. Loved it even more this visit. Easy to get around the buildings. From blind turtles being fed and nurtured right thru to the seahorse we seen, our experience was fabulous for the four of us (my husband and I, 73, who are seniors, our daughter 43 and granddaughter 18 a college freshman). Highly recommend for any family, any age to experience this rescue facility

It is a great family activity. We spotted several Everglades residents while on the air boat tour, which was very exciting and informational.

It was very cool ! The ostrich coming up to my car window tapping his beak was hands down the best. This place did not disappoint.

Loved the thrilling ride in the boat and got to see Alligators in their natural habitat!

Awesome experience! Our guide Tanner was hilarious.
