Full description
Explore the villages of Cinque Terre on a full-day excursion from Florence, and experience the best aspects of this protected World Heritage Site as you walk along the ancient trails that connect the picturesque villages. Cinque Terre comprises a stretch of rugged, unspoiled coast along the Italian Riviera. Its name derives from the fact that it is a grouping of 5 picturesque fishing villages: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso. It has been well preserved because of its isolation and continues to be protected by its UNESCO status and its status as an Italian national park. Led by your knowledgeable guide, you’ll walk the spectacular coastline. Visit the Cinque Terre village of Manarola and continue with a lovely boat journey (weather permitting) to Monterosso, renowned for its beautiful beach and small craftsmen’s shops. After a short train ride, stop in Vernazza, one of the prettiest of all, for free time to sit in one of the cheerful bars and cafés.  Take the train again to Riomaggiore to enjoy free time for a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean or shopping into some of the picturesque shops. Enjoy a delicious local lunch served here in a typical restaurant with a perfect view of the sea and the hills declining down to the rocky coves (if option selected). From Riomaggiore, a train ride returns you to La Spezia, concluding the Cinque Terre visit, before returning to Florence by bus. Please note that the order of the visits may change.

The tour is spectacular. The stops very well organized and the guide constantly attentive to everything. Although it says that you have the option of lunch, at the time of booking it gave no other option than without it. When we were leaving they informed us that we did not have lunch included and that it was on your own. Another point that was clarified by the provider was that the bus had Wi-Fi on board, which did not happen. Super recommended anyway, they are points to improve but they do not change the experience.

On April 11, 2022, our family of 13, took a day tour of Cinque Terre through GetYourGuide. The bus driver, Raphaelo, and two guides, Tabitha and Marta were superb as they went above and beyond to make this excursion most memorable. Their knowledge of this Italian community and their attentiveness to our needs were outstanding. My wife lost her passport/other identification sometime during the tour. When notified, the guides quickly contacted authorities and others who could assist. Needless to say, we were devastated by this loss and the what the consequences could be. As we were to board the bus to return, our tour guides were able to find the documents, thus relieving our anxiety. In my opinion, they went above and beyond their responsibilities to make this a most enjoyable day.

Visited 4 out of 5 villages. The boat tour was canceled due to the waves. We had enough time to visit each time. The guide Alfonso was really nice and was good at explaining. He was organized and paid attention to the group. The driver Raoul drove safely and carefully. The Zour was nice, but in no way comparable to the beauty of Amalfi. We hadn't booked the meal. But should have been good. Much offered for a Sisflug.
