Overview
Explore Florence on a 6-hour walking tour inspired by Dan Brown’s new novel “Inferno.” Follow in the footsteps of the main characters to discover mysterious places such as Dante’s church, the secret passages of the Palazzo Vecchio, and more.
What to Expect
Follow in the footsteps of the main protagonists of Dan Brown’s 2013 mystery thriller “Inferno,” partly set in the medieval ambiance of Dante's medieval Florence, and discover the city's secret passages, astonishing paintings, and lush gardens.

Suitable for small groups of up to 9 people, the comprehensive tour takes you deep into Brown’s imagination and looks at the Cradle of the Renaissance in a new light, learning more about Florentine art and history along the way.

Starting at the Porta Romana on Piazzale di Porta Romana in the Boboli Gardens, enjoy the green oasis of Florence before going to the Palazzo Vecchio to wander among its secret passageways. You'll also see the legendary Ponte Vecchio and stop for lunch in Piazza de’ Cimatori.

Next, visit the House Museum of Dante, built in the medieval core of Florence where the Alighieri family lived and Dante was born. Arranged on 3 floors according to the 3 stages of his life, one of the museum's central features is its collection of authentic ancient prints of Dante's masterwork, the Divine Comedy.

Continue to tiny Santa Margherita de' Cerchi church, where Dante is said to have met his love, Beatrice Portinari. After a look at the marble façade of the stunning Baptistery, the tour ends on Piazza Santa Maria Novella, next to the city’s main train station.

Here, you have the option to join your guide for a glass of beer or wine (own expense) in a local café to chat more about Florence today and through the worlds of Dan Brown and Dante Alighieri.
