Taste the wines of Tuscany on a cellar tour of the Il Borro wineries. Learn more about the wine making process as you marvel at old barrels filled with wine. See the private collection of the Ferragamo family at their historic wine and art gallery.
What to Expect
Sample the wines from the village of Il Borro in the Tuscan wine lands southeast of Florence. The origins of the village of Il Borro have been lost to time, but its wines remain a popular feature of the landscape.
Enter the Il Borro cellars to experience one of Italy’s oldest wineries. Stroll among the barrels and wine vats as you learn how the grapes are transformed into fine wines. Taste wines that are the result of a century of wine making philosophies.
The Il Borro winery is also home to a Wine and Art Gallery, where over 400 etchings from the 15th century to the present have been collected by Ferruccio Ferragamo. See artists’ impressions of the pleasure of drinking, from the everyday world of the common people to the mythological, dreamlike gods.
Combine a tasting of fine wines from the estate, with views of art by Mantegna, Dürer, Rubens, Rembrandt, Goya, Manet, Picasso and Andy Warhol.
