Explore the Chianti region, visit local wineries and taste famous Chiati DOCG. Enjoy a full Tuscan lunch with your friends and family.
What to Expect
The ancient vineyards in this postcard-perfect part of Tuscany produce the grapes used in Chianti and Chianti Classico, world-famous reds sold under the Gallo Nero (Black Cockerel/Rooster) trademark.
The wine and food tour usually starts with a visit to a small producer in the heart of Chianti, accompanied by a rich tasting of his products. Along the way you will drive across the Chianti region, with its vineyards, olive groves, cypress and pine trees. You will have the opportunity to meet the owners, farmers, producers and visit their realities, estates, wineries. You will taste four different wines (two red, a white and a rosé).
Among them, of course, you can try the original Chianti DOCG wines, and Super Tuscans. The wines will be accompanied by a typical Tuscan lunch and extra-virgin olive oils. You will relax and visit a vineyards enjoying the anecdotes and "stories" on viticulture and production narrated by the producer / host.
You will have a nice stop in Greve (main village in the Chianti Classico area) and Montefioralle (a very well preserved medieval hamlet / castle). You will not live an ordinary tour: your guides are going to share a real life experience with you, to “explore” the lifestyle of our region and country, listening to those who live it. You can establish a personal relationship with the farmers and not only taste their great products… Visits to farms will not be just a quick stop for a glass of wine, but a real “intercultural experience“.
