Visit the medieval town of Montalcino and the fascinating Abbey of Sant'Antimo. Meet a Brunello di Montalcino producer, visit the vineyard, and enjoy a full Tuscan lunch combined with Brunello di Montalcino!
What to Expect
This amazing wine and food tour begins with a drive along one of the most beautiful and ancient roads of Tuscany, around the city of Siena with its rolling and enchanting hills. Visit the historical village of Montalcino, and continue to the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, one of the most significant architectural legacies of the Romanesque period. The abbey was built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries.
Next, enjoy a guided tour with a small producer of Brunello. Visit the cellars and learn about the origin and production of this world-renowned wine. You will taste the wine straight from the barrel (DOCG Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino DOC), accompanied by a generous typical Tuscan lunch. Visit the vineyards and enjoy anecdotes about viticulture from the winemaker. On the way back, make an additional stop (time allowing) at a wine producer for an organic wine tasting.
- Transportation (pick-up and drop off included if you are in Florence or Siena)
- Brunello wine tasting at the winery
- Full Tuscan lunch
