This was such great value for money. Alessandro & Riccardo took very good care of us on our trip. It was well organised and kept to a timely schedule. Alessandro (guide) is very enthusiastic and has a wealth of knowledge to share. He also makes some great jokes that keeps the information enjoyable rather than a history lesson. Could not recommend more doing this trip as you really get to see all of Tuscany. The lunch will also cater for dietary needs which is great!

Started off bad as could not find the guide at place indicated by GYG. There are numerous tour groups in front and we checked with all five and were not the correct ones. So contacted GYG and informed them of this; they then contacted actual tour provider whom gave different location to meet tour guide. I checked the tour guide website and they gave correct meeting point, so appears GYG doesn't have correct location. Anyway, they rescheduled us for the next day, same time, and we met at the CORRECT meeting point. The first half hour was spent getting some history, and then we had to get in the same line as everyone else. However, a tour guide representative had saved space in the line, which by that time had moved up. But we still had another 15 minutes in line. So this is clearly not a skip the line tour, which is what we thought it was when booking. Just be aware of that. Once we got inside was fine. The inside is OK, but not as spectacular as the outside for sure.

  • Florence: Footsteps of Medici Tour

    10. Florence: Footsteps of Medici Tour

Begin your tour at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, which is the main residence of the first branch of the Medici family. The Medici family was connected to most of the other elite families of the time through marriages of convenience, partnership, or employment so the family had a central position in the social network. Several families had systematic access to the rest of the elite families only through the Medici family. Some examples of these families include the Bardi, Altoviti, Ridolfi, Cavalcanti, and the Tornabuoni. This has been suggested as a reason for the rise of the Medici family. Continue your tour to the square of San Lorenzo Church, which was Florence’s cathedral until the 8th-century. From the early 15th-century, the Medici family had the church entirely rebuilt in the new Renaissance style. On your way here, the guide will describe the Medici Chapels where the private maus...

Our tourguide was Rosa, she could tell us about every single spot in Florence we passed. Her 'little secrets of Florence' made the trip magnificent! The tour starts off outside on Piazza della Signoria, and you are guided through the city before entering Duomo. Lets not forget the complementary icecream stop right before the climb, to get some sugar into everyone. The "skip the line" is so worth it, because the line to enter the main enterance loops twice around Duomo and we just had to wait for a few minutes to be let in on the side. Don't forget to bring your Green Pass and have it ready before entering Duomo. After entering Duomo you get a stunning glance at the kathedreal just before climbing a windy staircase which leads to an magneficent birds eye view of the kathedral. Imagine with me the final few steps (463 total) to the top and being able to see all of Florence. Unforgettable. If you ever visit Florence, please do yourself the favour of taking this tour. Poland/Holand

Olivia was an amazing tour guide and really interacted with the group to make you feel very welcomed. Siena was beautiful and the walking tour was very informative and really made me feel like I knew the city better. The lunch at the farm had an unforgettable view!

Really good day. Thank you Angela. We had the chance to discover Pise, Siena, San Gimignano in one day. Amazing lunch with view on the Chianti. Angela does everything for customers!

A fascinating tour. All very easy and great to be able to walk straight in without queueing. Excellent value and we were able to step into restricted areas within the Duomo.

Rosa did a wonderful job sharing secrets of Florence and keeping the tour interesting.
