Extremely satisfied with yesterday's Battlefields tour by Quasimodo Tours. Because in present surreal COVID-19 times, I didn't wanted to travel too far out, I decided to spend some time around the Belgian coast and take this tour to get more informed about some dark pages of recent Belgian history. Philippe, a tour guide with thirty years experience, took all coronavirus-recommendations into considerations (including mouth masks and plastic seat covers) and was very informative about the history of the region, the war, and so on. On this tour which lasted more than 9 hours, we were unable to see everything (as he explained from the start), but these highlights would be a good point of departure for future explorations. Still, we went to Tyne Cot cemetery, the German cemetery at Poelkapelle, the Menin Gate in Ypres, Hill 60, the Brothers in Arms memorial, Polygon Wood, Essex Farm Cemetery, and so on. We had lunch at Hooge Crater museum! If you're considering a tour, take this one!

This tour was excellent! Philippe was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. You see many of the sites around the Flanders area and even have a chance at walking around Ypres. Would highly recommend this tour.
