Head down to the quaint town of Flåm where you will have time to explore or purchase lunch. Board a battery powered boat for a two-hour bride to Gudvangen on the beautiful Nærøyfjord. In Gudvangen your guide will meet you with the bus for the drive back to the Tourist Information point in Bergen.

Embark on a bus trip towards the most distinctive and well-preserved stave church in Norway. Start your adventure in the village of Flåm, nested at the end of the Aurlandsfjorden. Journey through E16's longest road tunnel, submerged in an underground darkness. On your way toward the beautiful Lærdal Valley, make a first photo stop at the Borgund Stave Church (outside only). Enjoy the outside view of the building, the fresh mountain air, and the sound of the flowing Lærdalselve River. Next, stop at a rest stop in the village of Lærda, where you can also catch a glimpse of the Sognefjorden. Fastening your seatbelts once again, drive across powerful mountains and breathtaking sights over the Aurlandsfjorden, one of Norwa's most scenic roads. Admire from above where two impressive arms of the Sognefjorden meet at the Stegastein Viewpoint. After driving down the last meandering section of the Aurlandsfjorden, end the trip back in Flåm.

Make your way to the Bergen Railway, where you'll board a comfortable train that will take you on scenic ride to Voss. Hop off in Voss and switch to the bus for a ride through the area's quaint villages to Gudvangen. Between the months of May and September, the bus will also travel the steep road to Stalheimskleiva, comprised of hairpin turns and epic views. Once you reach Gudvangen, step aboard a two-hour premium fjord cruise on a modern hybrid boat to journey through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed fjords. See both Aurlandsfjord, a picturesque fjord offering stunning views, and the mountain-lined Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest in Europe. The municipality covers 465 square kilometers, and sits on the peninsula of Bergenshalvøyen. The city center and northern neighborhoods are on Byfjorden, "the city fjord", and the city is surrounded by mountains. Bergen is also known as the "city of seven mountains". The Flåm Railway is one of the world's steepest railways. It is 20 kilometers long, with a descent of 865 meters and a gradient of one in 18. It also consists of 20 tunnels with a total length of 6 kilometers - evidence of the most daring and skillful engineering in the history of Norwegian railways.

Depart from Oslo early in the morning and travel by car towards the western fjords of Norway. Discover a part of the Bergen Railway by train with a ride from Geilo to Myrdal.  In Myrdal, enjoy a scenic train ride on the world-famous Flåm Railway. This rail route meanders through the mountains at a steep elevation. It is one of the most spectacular experiences in Norway.  Upon arrival in Flåm, visit the Flåm Railway Museum to learn more about this feat of modern engineering. Then, cruise along the two branches of Norway's longest and deepest fjord. One of the branches, Nærøyfjord, was included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2005.  Enjoy the impressive views at the Stalheim Hotel viewpoint and take in the fantastic mountain landscapes of the region. Return to Oslo late at night after a full day of exploration.

Take a scenic day trip from Bergen in Norway, and travel on the Flåm Line across steep fjords and mountains on your way to Flåm. Enjoy a day in the village, learning about local culture at the Railway Museum, sampling Norwegian food, and taking a cruise in the harbor. First, you'll be picked up from your hotel in the morning and begin the drive to Voss. From Voss, board the train heading to Oslo, stopping in Myrdal, from which the Flåmbana will take you the rest of the way. Then, along your journey from Voss to Flåm, take the scenic route through the picturesque landscapes of western Norway along the Flåm Line train route. See snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, and crystal-clear rivers and lakes. As you arrive at Flåm, you’ll notice the fjord along the Aurlandsfjord that borders the city. Surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and glaciers, this village offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing. Next, walk along the harbor beside the traditional brightly-painted wooden houses. Enjoy a boat trip in the harbor after lunch to explore the fjord and surrounding islands, or enjoy visiting the village's shops, cafes, and restaurants. Then, use Flåm as a starting point for exploring the Sognefjord and its surrounding areas, including the Nærøyfjord, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Jotunheimen National Park, which is home to some of Norway's highest mountains. Finally, At the end of the cruise, your guide will meet you and start driving back to Bergen, where your day trip will conclude around 9 PM.

After being picked up from your hotel, you can begin your journey to Gudvangen. On the way we make a stop at Tvinde Waterfall before heading to Gudvangen and a guided tour of Njardarheimr Viking Village. The Nærøyfjord is one of the narrowest fjords in Europe and your journey to Flåm will take about 2 hours. The boat is battery operated and high-comfort, with large windows and a good patio. In 2005, the Nærøyfjord was incorporated on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The fjord is surrounded by high mountains, and is a beautiful sight both in summer and winter. Flåm is a charming village surrounded by precipitous mountainsides, rumbling waterfalls, and narrow valleys. It is a  beautiful area to simply wander around, and whilst there you can also visit the Flåm Railway Museum. From Flåm the trip continues with the Flåm Railway, which is one of the world's steepest regular-track railway tracks. The 20-kilometer-long train journey gives you a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent of Norwegian mountain nature, including the famous Kjosfossen Waterfall. At Myrdal Station, your train will swap to the Bergen Railway which will take you to Voss. From there, a car will return you back to Bergen.
