Beautiful country, stunning landscapes and a great guide, Duarte

Why it was a great trip? We booked this tour - instant confirmation on GYG. We called the local operator - Reservas e Partidas - and found a very reliable guy, Duarte Azevedo Monteiro, who turned to be our guide. He confirmed the booking immediately; very punctual next day, knowledgeable, friendly, a safe driver and a very good English speaker. Fatima was impressive, Nazare pleasant, Batalha - peaceful and Obidos superb. During the day we discovered a beautiful country, stunning landscapes, nice people, good food and wine, funny and romantic stories, historical facts. Overall, a perfect day. Again, a big thanks to Duarte from his Romanian friends!

Nazare & Obidos are much valuable to visit again.

I suggested to cancel visiting Fatima and replaced the enough time to visiting Nazare & Obidos. There are much beautiful for us to spend more time to visiting. More, I understood that GYG has been offered our order to a local tour guide company. However, please review the performance of the company anytime. This is because I found that my tour guide to be done a driver work only. He has only drop on & off to the sightseeing place with a route direction to find the place only. He didn't to talk more information or history of the building. We could be only walk around the building and took some photos. And then, we went back to the meeting point on time. Afterwards, the guide looked like to day off his job early and pushed us to leave the final destination earlier. Referring of our tour, we will have 10 hours trip, however, we have used 9 hours to finish the day trip and back to Lisbon before 18:00 (original should be 19:00). So that, this trip gave us was hurry, rush & busy.

Fabulous tour, great guide, excellent lunch. Recommended!

We were thrilled with this tour. The guide, Ana, was friendly and knowledgable - and able to give the tour in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German! We had an efficient yet relaxed pace. The bus was new and comfortable, with good temperature control. Many of us had read an earlier review about the lunch being of poor quality, and so we had low expectations. However, the restaurant was lovely with excellent service and food. We were given bread and fresh cheese to start, a rich vegetable-noodle soup, AMAZING hake fish with vegetables and salad, and a wonderful tiramisu-like dessert with water, wine and coffee. Every dish was delicious. We enjoyed the other people in our group. We did get back to Lisbon a bit later than expected, but no one seemed to mind. We would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to see a lot in a relatively short time (10-11 hours). Thanks again for a great day!

Excellent and Professional Service that is dedicated to your desires

Joel who spoke excellent English designed a great alternative tour when it became obvious that my wife and I were not comfortable with the crowds we encountered. I had originally designed a tour with two stops at some distance apart. Our first venue was quiet and peaceful, a delight for us. Due to a national holiday, the second venue was very congested. Joel had warned us that it would be, but I did not want to hear the message. When it became apparent that Joel was correct, I asked for a recommendation that would be more to our liking. He, on the spot, arranged a great venue including food (lunch overlooking the beach) that be came the highlight of our tour. When we have the opportunity to get back to Lisbon, we will use him again.
