My hiking trip in El Yunque was unforgettable, all thanks to our guide, Miguelin! He made the experience so special with his knowledge, passion, and friendly personality. We were running a few mins late and our guide was very understanding. We walked through lush trails, crossed streams, and went down waterslides. Miguelin pointed out unique plants and wildlife along the way and shared stories about the forest’s history. He even took us to a hidden waterfall where we got to swim—such a refreshing and fun moment! Miguelin made sure everyone was comfortable, keeping the pace just right and making the whole group feel welcome. If you’re visiting PR, I highly recommend this hike with Miguelin. It was an adventure I’ll always remember! I recommend this to anyone who is somewhat fit to be able to complete and enjoy this experience.

Full description

Go an adventure in El Yunque National Forest, the most visited attraction in Puerto Rico, with this guided hike from Fajardo. Learn about the local flora, fauna, and history with your guide, and discover hidden gems with breathtaking views. Slide into waterfalls, swing on ropes, and more. Meet your guide in Fajardo, then follow them in your own car to El Yunque National Forest. Upon arrival at the forest’s parking lot, receive your life vests and safety orientation, and leave anything in your car that you don’t want to get wet or dirty. Then, begin your hike into the heart of Puerto Rico’s sacred lands and forest. Listen to your guide’s commentary as you trek for about 25 minutes to the first pristine water pool. Once there, enjoy rope swings and cliff jumps from various heights, or simply take a dip in the water. Next, continue higher into the forest until you arrive at the second pool. There, go for a slide on pure volcanic rocks into the water. After enjoying the second pool, hike back down to the first and on toward the parking lot where the tour ends.

  • Notice, the Ralph’s Seafood Warehouse store we meet is at Fajardo.
  • This tour requires moderate physical activity in which participants must be able to walk through mud and over slippery rocks and uneven surfaces

Ivan was a wonderful guide. He invited us and guided us through this tropical forest. He made sure we were all fine, taught us about El Yunque's vegetation and ensured we had a great time. The slides were so much fun. I would definitely book with Ivan if i come back. I recommend him and this tour 100%!
