Take a Jeep Tour through the megalithic monuments of Guadalupe. After visiting the Cromlech and Dolmens you will be taken to a working cork farm, where you will learn the ins and outs of the cork world.
What to Expect
The area you'll explore is a paradise for walkers, ramblers and wine lovers. Imagine touring through rolling hills, cork forests, olive groves and vineyards, in a landscape occasionally broken by a medieval fortress or an abandoned chapel. For six generations, the Mollet family has made a living from showing the best that the Alentejo has to offer.
Nature-lovers and birdwatchers will not be disappointed. With some luck, you might come across an Egyptian mongoose, bustards, hoopoes, bee-eaters, booted eagles, wild boars or many of the other species found here.
On pick up you will be introduced to your guide who is a local archaeologist and conservationist. Start with a nice cup of tea/coffee or cool refreshment. You will be taken on a beautiful drive through well preserved set of megalithic monuments of Guadalupe. During your tour your guide will explain to you everything about the dolmens and chromloechs, how they grow and the symbology and myths behind them. After visiting the Cromlech and Dolmens you will be taken to a working cork farm where you will learn the in's and outs of the cork world. Finnish your tour by taking a look at one of the best vineyards in this region and for an additional 25€ why don't do a wine tasting? We will have you back in Évora in time for lunch or dinner.
