Experience the majesty of the Perito Moreno Glacier on a 10-hour tour from Calafate. Go to Los Glaciares National Park and walk along the balconies and walkways of the glacier to see the icebergs and ice walls. Travel through a Megallanic forest and more.
What to Expect
Depart Calafate at 09:00 and drive along provincial route number 11 which, for the first 40 kilometers, runs alongside the stunning Lago Argentino. Get panoramic views of the lake and Patagonian steppes.
Upon arrival at Los Glaciares National Park, travel through a Magallanic forest to the start of the glacier balconies and walkways. Walk around the balconies to get views of the glacier from different angles. Discover landmarks of the natural wonder such as the Curva de los Suspiros ("Curve of the Sighs") and Muelle Bajo las Sombras ("Pier Under the Shadows").
Pause for lunch at a restaurant or snack bar for fast food. Then, climb aboard a catamaran and navigate the Rico Arm. See icebergs floating in the water after they have fallen from the Perito Moreno Glacier ice walls. Cruise at a reasonable pace and distance from the glacier for approximately 1 hour.
