What to Expect
Spend a full-day exploring the beauty of Los Glaciares National Park when you go to see Perito Moreno Glacier. This site is 19 miles (30 kilometers) in length and the icefield is the world's largest reserves of fresh water.
After departing from El Calafate, you will make your way to the park and the site of the glacier. Here you can appreciate majestic views of the imposing glacier.
Afterward, you will embark on a 45-minute boat cruise along a glacial lake on the south side of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Get up close to the impressive Perito Moreno south wall, with sheer ice topping at up to 200 feet (61 meters). Admire the glacier's magnitude and its reflection on the water.
Next, you will walk along the footbridge in front of the glacier. At the Mirador footbridge you will experience magnificent views of the sublime landscape.
