What people are saying about Edinburgh
Unbelievably good- from getting on the coach to being dropped off Slight disappointment though- a USP of the tour- is distillery tour. We were only advised that this would not be happening when we boarded the coach We were advised that it was closed and we would not be visiting it. (Has been closed since lockdown) Obviously, as a company, you were aware of this and therefore you should have adjusted the information on the website. Everyone booked in good faith that this aspect would be available. A few people acknowledged they had received an email stating this was not available- though many had not and I was one of them!
I would highly recommend this activity - the venue was quirky and cosy with an interesting history, which we learnt about, and we had a good amount of space to ourselves. We tried 4 whiskies, all of which I enjoyed and all of which were different. We learnt a lot about the whisky as well as some really interesting tales associated with the area and the drink itself. Ben the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a genuinely lovely guy! Well worth the money!
Having the right person when you drink whisky can really make the difference between an ok night and a holiday to remember. Ben, not only he is a very knowledgeable person, but also funny, charismatic and a great story teller. Because of Ben, I realised that the proper way of drinking whisky is together with a story.
Had a wonderful experience exploring the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye, would definitely like to come back again sometime. Our driver-cum-guide Stephen was amazing both with his witty jokes and his stories about Scottish history. Memories that would last forever!
The whiskies were delicious and varied and Lucas very knowledgable about the subject. The narrative was really interesting, Informative and entertaining. The inclusion of notes on what had been said, at the end for us to copy was a great addition.
