What to Expect
Whether you’re looking for a family day out or have an interest in Scottish history you’ll find plenty to do at the 78 paid properties of Historic Scotland, all of which are easy to get to.
Purchase a 3-day or 7-day Explorer Pass and you’ll only have to pay once to enjoy admission to Scotland's top visitor attractions. The pass is simple to use and comes with extra benefits.
A 3-day pass is valid over 5 days and can be used on any 3 days within a 5-day period. A 7-day pass is valid over 14 days and can be used on any 7 days within a 14-day period. Your pass will not become active until your first site visit, and multiple sites can be visited in any one day. The only restriction is that you can only visit each site once.
But with so many monuments, castles, houses, cathedrals and gardens to explore, that’s unlikely to be a problem! From the far north Iron Age settlement of the Broch Of Gurness to the eerie ruin of Hermitage Castle on the Scottish Borders, the pass covers all of Scotland’s regions and islands, and even includes skip-the-line entry to Edinburgh and Stirling Castles.
