What to Expect
Explore one of the great treasures of Croatia on a full-day tour of the Peljesac Peninsula, heading towards Korcula, best known as the birthplace of the great explorer Marco Polo.
Depart Dubrovnik and drive up the coast, following a meandering route through the vineyards and valleys of the Peljesac Peninsula, joined to the mainland by a thin silver of land. Stop at Ston, the 2nd most important town of the Dubrovnik Republic, and marvel at its monumental walls constructed between the 14th and 15th centuries.
Continue to the small town of Orebic to catch a boat direct to Korcula island. Admire the abundant vegetation of the Adriatic, and discover one of the best preserved medieval towns of the Mediterranean. Learn about Korcula’s tradition of knightly games, including the "Moreska," a spectacular fighting dance with swords that has been performed in the town for more than 400 years.
En route back to Dubrovnik, enjoy a wine tasting at a privately-run vineyard of the Peljesac Peninsula, and savor some of the best wines of Croatia.
