Full description
The city of Dubrovnik is known for a lot of things: its UNESCO-worthy Old Town, the sprinkling of idyllic islands that surround the mainland, the ancient city walls that comprise King's Landing in the popular HBO show 'Game of Thrones'... However, one thing that Dubrovnik is not know for, and should be, is the incredible food and wine. Take a lovely guided tour of the city's World Heritage Site-listed Old Town, and visit four cozy restaurants nestled within for a taste of Dubrovnik's unique gastronomy. Walk down the beautiful cobblestone streets and alleyways of the Old Town, and pass by some of the city's major sights, including the Franziscan and Dominican monasteries, the palaces of Sponza and Rector, and the Baroque cathedral. Discover national culinary traditions through the years, and enjoy a tasting of various snacks accompanied by a glass of local wine. Finish the fun food adventure at a cute patisserie within the ancient walls of Old Town for a taste of traditional Croatian cake.

This was the BEST way to kickstart our time in Dubrovnik: it combines history, food, and wine into a GREAT experience! Iva was truly fantastic and provided a wonderful introduction to some Dubrovnik specialities in a variety of beautiful restaurants. Along the way, Iva was able to also share details about social parts and stories of Dubrovnik’s past. We already can’t wait to go back to many of the restaurants she took us to! Iva was especially considerate of keeping everyone together and in the shade during this heatwave. Spectacular tour!!

Ana was an amazing guide! The restaurants she took us to had delicious offerings (pretty sure I’m going to dream about the shrimp/barley risotto!). She talked about the history of the city and gave wonderful tips on what else to do while visiting. Highly recommend this tour for those wanting to experience Dubrovnik.

This was a great introduction to Old Town! Iva was an excellent guide giving lots of history and pointing out various shops for authentic Croatian products. Iva explained the food and wine at each stop, described how they were made and provided some background information. She also pointed out other recommended restaurants. Recommended for your first day in Dubrovnik.
