Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Dubrovnik (Meals: Dinner)
After you arrive in Dubrovnik you’ll be transferred to picturesque Zaton Bay, located just 8 kilometers from Dubrovnik. The villages of Zaton Mali, Zaton Veliki, and Stikovica have cozy waterfront restaurants where you can enjoy Croatian and Dalmatian specialties. After settling into your accommodation, you’ll meet with your guide for dinner and a brief orientation to the program, and have the opportunity to discuss the itinerary and get to know your fellow travelers. Overnight in Zaton Bay.

If you want to spend more time in Dubrovnik, please plan your arrival a day earlier. In this case you will be transferred from your accommodation in Dubrovnik to your homestay in Zaton Bay.

Day 2: Kolocep Sea Kayaking (Easy/Moderate, 3-4 Hours) (Meals: Breakfast; Lunch)
For kayakers and divers, Kolocep is the most interesting of the 13 Elafiti islands. Discover its blue caves, impressive cliffs and reefs, sandy beaches, romantic villages and pleasant walks. You won’t encounter cars here, just a peaceful atmosphere that’s ideal for relaxing vacations. Explore the silent underwater world at one of the most interesting spots and take some time to relax on the beach.

For those who wish to spend the evening in Dubrovnik after the sea kayaking activity, your guide will arrange a transfer to and from the Old Town. Overnight in Zaton Bay.

Day 3: Mostar Visit and Trebizat River Canoeing (Class I-II, 1 Hour) (Meals: Breakfast; Dinner)
In the morning you’ll head to Mostar, the cultural and economic center of Herzegovina. The town, which is more than 5 centuries old, is situated between high mountains divided by the Neretva River. Without question, the highlight of Mostar is the Old Bridge, originally built in 1566 while this area was a part of the Ottoman Empire. Destroyed during the war in 1993 but rebuilt in 2004 in its original form, the Old Bridge is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the afternoon you’ll drive to Ljubuski and enjoy a canoeing trip on the narrow Trebizat River, surrounded by lush forests teeming with bird life and the stunningly beautiful karst landscapes formed by the river over thousands of years. Overnight in Ljubuski by the river at a friendly family-run hotel, and enjoy a dinner of traditional local specialties.

Day 4: Cetina River Rafting (Class II-III, 2-3 Hours) and Split Sightseeing (Meals: Breakfast; Lunch)
Today you’ll drive north to a small village near Omis, where your adventure on the Cetina River begins. Clear green water, jungle-like forests, caves, and waterfalls will thrill you and make this rafting trip an unforgettable experience. The Cetina is easy enough for families and absolute beginners. The trip ends at Radman Mills, a restaurant in a beautiful setting of old mills once powered by the waters of the Cetina River.

After lunch, you’ll continue on to Split and Trogir. In Split you’ll have free time to take a walk on its palm tree-lined promenade and visit the Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later in the afternoon you’ll visit Trogir, another UNESCO site. This old town features fairy-tale streets and beautiful stone houses. Overnight at a 3 or 4 star hotel in Skradin.

Day 5: Krka National Park Cycling (Easy/Moderate, 3-4 Hours (Meals: Breakfast; Dinner)
Today you’ll cycle in the Krka National Park, noted for its fantastic karst formations and travertine waterfalls. Start out from the hotel with your bike, and continue by local roads to the viewpoint over Visovac Lake. In the middle of the lake you’ll see Visovac Island and the Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of Mercy and the Church of Our Lady of Visovac.

After the cycling tour, you’ll return to the hotel and enjoy the late afternoon in the old town or a walk in the park before dinner. Overnight in Skradin.

Day 6: Zrmanja River Kayaking (Class II-III, 4 Hours) (Meals: Breakfast; Dinner)
This kayaking trip is an expedition down the magnificent wild west-like canyons of the Zrmanja River in Velebit Nature Park. Perfectly clear and green waters, rapids and waterfalls, hidden swimming pools, and steep sided canyons will make this excursion a memorable one. No previous kayaking experience is necessary if you can swim.

Open canoes or sit-on-top kayaks for 2 persons are used for this river adventure, and have an optional child seat. Rafting boats are used during the high water season (generally before May and after September). After an amazing day on the river, you’ll drive to Korana village. Overnight at a homestay in Korana village.

Day 7: Plitvice Lakes National Park Hiking (Easy, 4-5 Hours) (Meals: Breakfast; Dinner)
Start your day with a walk along the wooden paths and bridges around Plitvice Lakes, Croatia's premier national park. The exquisite series of 16 emerald green and opal blue travertine lakes, more than 90 waterfalls, and numerous caves led to UNESCO’s listing of the area as a World Heritage Site. The lakes are surrounded by beech and pine forests and are home to an extensive variety of wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this unspoiled natural environment. A panoramic boat and train ride will take you back to the starting point.

In the afternoon you’ll return to Korana village in time to enjoy a swim in the clear river right in front of your homestay. Overnight in Korana village.
