Why take a Hop-on Hop-off bus tour of Dublin?

Whether you want to hurry around Dublin's sights or indulge in your own Joycian odyssey, hop-on hop-off bus tours let you see the lively city at your own pace. Here are five places worth alighting for!

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Don't just watch the ancient exterior pass you by! Take the time to discover the breathtaking decor of one of Dublin's oldest buildings. Another bus will be along in a while.

Guinness Storehouse

Discover the history and brewing techniques behind Guinness, Ireland's most famous tipple. There's even a rooftop bar for enjoying the view over a few pints. It's not as if you're driving!

Dame Street

The old thoroughfare counts Dublin Castle among its vibrant mix of historic and modern buildings. It's also just a stone's throw from Temple Bar and Trinity College!

Kilmainham Gaol

Known as the "Irish Bastille," many significant political prisoners were held and, at times, executed here at Kilmainham. Want to learn about Ireland's fight for independence? Look no further.

Dublin Zoo

If the zoo's daily talks and feedings aren't up your street, alight here anyway for Phoenix Park - one of the largest walled city parks in Europe.

Planning Your Visit

How much does it cost?

Hop on hop off bus tours of Dublin are one of the cheapest methods of seeing the city's key attractions. Prices start at €19 for a single day's sightseeing, with tickets also available for two or three days.

Which route to take?

Tour providers will sometimes provide more than one way around the sights of Dublin. Often the routes will intersect at the stops of main attractions like Trinity College and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Other providers might separate historical landmarks and the city's more modern architecture.

What People Are Saying About Dublin

An ideal way to see key places of interest in and around Dublin.

The Dublin accent is lovely but for speakers of other languages, your drivers need to slow down their delivery and enunciate clearly please. Could the card be extended to include use of the Dart train and tram as there are quite a variety of buses/cards? I stayed 5 days and bought a 3 day hop on hop off and then 2 family Leap cards, as my husband was able to join me on those days.

Bus strike ruined the first day; and did not have Email,so did not kno

When I went on the tour,I found all the drivers I had very informative, especially Dennis, who was very entertaining as well.

Excellent value for money can take you from the airport to city centre

We bought these tickets for our 3 day stay in Dublin. They were excellent value, easy to purchase and easy to validate at Dublin Airport. Choose busses with live commentary the drivers are very good. Can especially recommend Jason who had the entire bus singing and laughing with his commentary.

Best way to see all of the important things in Dublin

This has to be the best value for a 3 day visit to Dublin. From the trip into the city from the airport and back and unlimited transport in between it covers it all.

Entertaining and a great way to see the city!

The tour was good value as you could hop on and off as many times as you wanted in the day. The drivers were informative, although some of them were more entertaining than others. I recommend the tour, however if I was doing it again, I would book the tickets at the places in the city as it is cheaper than through this website!
