What to Expect
On this 6-day tour you'll visit the Ring of Kerry and the Cliffs of Moher, have a chance to kiss the magical Blarney Stone in County Cork, and much more!
Enjoy vibrant, musical Killarney and an action-packed night in medieval, yet cosmopolitan Galway, Ireland's seaside party town.
From the Guinness Brewery, one of the world’s great visitor attractions, to trendy, Gaelic-speaking, ultra-chic Galway on the wild Atlantic, you’ll take in the best the country has to offer.
Day 1: Dublin to Cork
Your tour begins with a visit to the Guinness Storehouse, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary pint of stout. This is a great way to begin the tour and make some new friends!
Next, you’ll head to the midlands of Ireland. Visit the beautiful Rock of Dunamase Castle in the Golden Vale, Ireland's finest agricultural land, with rolling fields and fresh pastures. In the afternoon you’ll continue on to Cork City. Known as the rebel city, Cork is the country’s southern capital. After a city tour you can enjoy a great night out on the banks of the River Lee.
Day 2: Blarney and Cobh
In the morning you’ll head to Blarney Castle. Be sure to kiss the Blarney Stone, located on top of the castle. Kissing the stone by dangling off the 300-foot battlements, and being held by a middle-aged Irishman is surely too good an offer to refuse!
The tour includes admission to the castle and the gardens. Take a break for lunch before heading to historic Cobh on Cork Harbour. Hear stories of the millions of Irish people who emigrated from Cobh between 1840 and 1950. In 1912 Cobh was the Titanic’s last stop.
See the Titanic monument in the town center, and visit impressive St. Coleman's cathedral. Your tour then moves on to County Kerry, with an overnight stay in the lively town of Killarney.
Day 3: Ring of Kerry
Today you’ll enjoy one of Ireland's most famous coastal drives. The Ring of Kerry is an important part of mystical and unspoiled Ireland, and has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. You’ll admire some of the finest coastal scenery in Europe, and pass through the towns of Waterville and Sneem, with views of spectacular scenery at Ladies View.
Day 4: Killarney to Dingle
Take a short drive to Dingle, a charming Gaelic-speaking fishing village. You’ll have ample free time in Dingle to shop and have lunch, before heading off on a pleasant drive around Slea Head.
There will be time to stop and enjoy a short hike or to just breathe in the salty Atlantic air. Your guide will tell you about the stories and songs of this traditional region. See Sleeping Giant Island and the famous 3 Sisters mountain range. Spend the night in your very own Irish pub, The Leprechaun, in Annascaul on the Dingle Peninsula!
Day 5: Dingle to Galway
Today you’ll have the wild Atlantic Ocean at your side as you ride along Ireland’s west coast to the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s crown jewels. Gaze in awe at the majesty, and see why these were the cliffs of insanity in the movie, The Princess Bride, and why world surfing champion Kelly Slater came to surf here last year, for the award-winning cult movie Waveriders.
Visit the award-winning Atlantic Edge exhibition, and then enjoy the scenic drive through the Burren region, known for its rocky scenery.
You’ll soon be enjoying magnificent views of Galway Bay. Spend the night in Galway, your tour guide’s favorite city, because there’s so much on offer! Enjoy the nightlife and try singing a few of the many songs your guide will have taught you on board the Paddywagon today.
Day 6: Cong and Connemara to Dublin
Begin the day with a visit to the picturesque village of Cong, a national Tidy-Town winner and the location for the Oscar-winning Hollywood movie, The Quiet Man. Then it’s on to Connemara, the most beautiful wilderness in all of Europe. This is the true rugged beauty of Ireland you have come to see!
Experience dramatic mountain scenery that has been the setting for countless Hollywood blockbusters. Afterwards, the tour makes its way through the midlands of Ireland, back to Dublin.
