Take a traditional water taxi (”abra” from Bur Dubai to Deira Dubai, and stroll through the Spice Market and Gold Market. Stop to take a photo of the Jumeirah Mosque and the sail-like façade of the grand Burj Al Arab Hotel. Enjoy some free time for a tea or coffee at Madinat Jumeirah Souk, an authentic recreation of an ancient Middle Eastern marketplace.
Next, visit the manmade Palm Jumeirah Island and stop in front of the Atlantis Hotel. Marvel at the world-class accommodation, villas, and residential apartments of the crescent-shaped island, and see the site of Dubai Aquarium.
Experience the beauty of Dubai’s skyscrapers from the Dubai Marina Walk, and admire the yachts of millionaires alongside traditional dhows. Drive along Sheikh Zayed Road, between yet more imposing skyscrapers, and head to Dubai Mall for a view of the Burj Khalifa.
Enter the world’s tallest building to ride the fastest elevator on the planet. Go to the 124th floor observation deck for panoramic city views. There will be some free time in Dubai Mall to watch the fountain dancing in sync to classical, Arabic and world music, or to indulge in some fine dining before your hotel drop off.
