Lovely journey to get there and back . We had to ask for English commentary and it was hard to hear at the front of the boat , maybe change the voice to a male? We found the porcelain factory eventually , when stepping of the boat turn left ( wished we had!) . We arrived at the factory at 1 pm but the next tour was 1.30, we were assured we should be finished by 2pm but didn't want to risk missing the boat , ( I do have a few mobility issues especially on the cobbles) so we gave it a miss and went for an ice cream in a beautiful square and enjoyed the scenery which in hindsight I should have just done st the start. Oh we went down to find the setting off place the day before as you need to exchange your paper/mobile tickets at their info office - you don't find out till the day which jetty you are leaving from and you can exchange your tickets then .
Beautiful Landscape and exciting scenery of castles and Monuments. Only critical Point is the missing Information about the Starting Point where which Boat starts. The Location of the Ticket Shop (at starting point 1) is always to approach for changing the get your Guide Voucher into Tickets which you Need todo before you can enter a boat. Everything Else Went perfect.
Young musicians who are talented and play well together, and had fun themselves which transferred to the audience. Beautiful and intimate venue with picturesque views. I’m by no means a classical music fan (preferring alternative rock instead), but this was an enjoyable way to have a glass of wine, sit back and relax in a comfortable surrounding.
The museum card allowed to visit several museums without standing in line for tickets. However a computer printout with a bar code of the museum card voucher bought online should have bern sufficient without a need to exchange it for a formal card in the Dresden Information office.
Very relaxing pleasant trip down the river to Meissen which is a beautiful town well worth visiting. Unfortunately the English commentary was difficult to hear and not given on the way back. Also upstairs, the preferred seating, was not opened and no explanation was available.
