What people are saying about Douro Valley

This was a most excellent day tour from 8am until 6.30pm. an unexpected pleasure (as don't normally take tours) booked for a party of 10. Comfortable bus & friendly driver with a great song playlist (which he was happy we joined in with which we did often!), Two contrasting vineyards &tasty 3 course lunch, river cruise short&sweet and a fantastic guide Daniel who got us band of daft Irish travellers. Informative, articulate, knowledgeable, raconteur (incl jokes) who added immeasurably to the whole day. An early start got off to a perfect start with his charming smile&stop for coffee in that interesting church&beautiful village & coffee shop (for sticky bun enthusiasts like ourselves). Learnt so much about port and the heritage of the Douro valley and have told everyone!

“VOTE FOR PEDRO” and TAKE THIS TOUR FOR GODSAKES!! What an incredible day I had on this tour. Not only was it fun, educational, delicious, relaxing and exciting, I also made friends along the way! First off… let’s give my guide Pedro a standing applause. What a wonderful person to handle this trip. He is a native and knows Porto well. His knowledge, wonderful personality, patience and enthusiasm for his job made my trip even BETTER. It was an experience I will not soon forget. The locations were stunning and please… the wine and food… TOP NOTCH. Its totally worth the price.

We’ve visited Porto for the first time, thus I’ve decided to begin with a guided 3 hrs guided walking tour for (4 people). The meeting point was by the Cathedral, Se. There we met Philipa, and she was absolutely amazing, knowing, very sociable and kind, she gave us more than we expected, and we stayed with the feeling that she could have giving us much more if we just had more time with her. I recommend taking this tour even if you stay a week in Porto. It is a great experience to begin with!

A wonderful, informative trip with some fabulous ports. The boat trip was a highlight. Autumn really was an amazing time to go, as all the vineyards were full of colour, but we were very lucky with the weather!

Valter was awesome. I feel like I know the whole city, it’s culture and history in our 3 hour tour. Highly recommend
