What People Are Saying About Douro

It was unbelievably beautiful and more than worth the cost!

Marisa was so sweet and accommodating. For someone who isn't big on guided tours with groups, I thought something smaller would be more my speed. I am so glad that we decided to do this tour -- it was probably the best use of my money in the two weeks I spent around Europe. Make sure you visit the olive press museum at the end, it has an extra special view and local wine from the family who owns the place.

Everytjing was great! The guide was perfect!

The day was very well orgenaized. Amazing views and wine-testing! The guide, Cellia, was just wonderful - so nice, clear explanations! Highlly recommended :)

Had a wonderful experience, highly recommend!

Positives: Great trip all in all, great guide, pick up from hotel is amazing, OK food but lots of it, lots of wine, great views and great information on the history and facts. Negatives: If you are hungover or easily susceptible to nausea the ride up is very curvy and may cause motion sickness. The vans have poor air conditioning and if you are not in the front seat it is extremely hot in the van and fairly uncomfortable ride.

From Porto: Douro Valley Tour with Wine Tasting & Lunch Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer, 09/09/2016

Beautiful tour with very friendly and informative guide

Alex was a fantastic guide, and the duoro valley is not to be missed! The boat tour is a must, the lunch was rustic but lovely, and the wineries visited are a great example of the region. I highly recommend this tour!

Great food, great service, great views, wanted commentary on nature

Everything was wonderful - food, service, views. Waiter was attentive and fun. Great experience with staff. Prices reasonable. Wanted more commentary on natural environment we passed, history of the area, the grapes, the wine and port making. Possibly a booklet at our tables to look at, eg birds, trees, etc. Best would be person doing the commentary, eg on the left you can see blue herons. Would have enjoyed more info at wine tasting. Most info was on bridges, we wanted more
