The tour was wonderful. But being at the highest point in Thailand, you'd think you would see beautiful scenery or mountains. However, you only get a sign marking the highest point. The rain forest was great, as well as the waterfalls, to rap up the trip. The tour guide was great, but you had to listen carefully in order to understand her English.

The tour offers a great experience. It takes about 2 hours from Chiang Mai to the top of Doi Inthanon. There we spent about 20-30 minutes in the short (300-400m) trail through the jungle and the small museum. Then we visited the pagodas of the former king and queen, which offer a nice view and a beautiful garden. Then we stopped for 15 minutes at a market (there are better markets in the city though). After that we had a very good Thai lunch at a restaurant in a village of local people and then visited the village with bamboo houses. Finally we went to the waterfall which I believe is the nicest part of the tour where we spent about half an hour only. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer there.

I enjoyed the trip. It was very diverse and unique. I recommend it. The guide was knowledgeable about the park. However, she didn’t make an effort to give background information or share facts about what we would be see while we were in the van. She did respond to questions but didn’t project her voice so everyone in the van could hear her. This was not representative of other guides we had through Get Your Guide while in Thailand. They were great. She did take pictures on the trail and shared them through Google Drive. No other guides did that. The trip was interesting and diverse in content. We didn’t realize that Inthanon Park was a rain forest and that we would be in clouds during our trip. We knew it would be cool temperatures. The trek in the forest was beautiful and wet as there was a heavy mist. Viewing the Stupas was impossible due to the cloud cover. On clear days you won’t be wet or cold and will have beautiful views of stupas and vistas from the mountain.
