What People Are Saying About Doge's Palace
We took the 3 days pass plus Alilagina (airport-cruise terminal-airport). When exchanging vouchers for tickets upon arriving at th airport, I was told we could use the tickets to Sn Marco, and later on finish the trip from San Marco to the cruise terminal. That was not so, we had to buy another ticket at €15.-, so beware! Otherwise the 3 days vaporetto were excellent! Would buy them again?
The tour of Doge's palace was great. Guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We appreciated his approach and knowledge of the history of the palace as well as its inhabitants.
We really enjoyed the tour! Booked it two days in advance and everything worked out perfectly.
So interesting to view the Doge Palace and the Basilica. Having an informed and passionate guide made the experience even better.
As a first time visitor to Venice ( and hopefully not the last ) this tour proved to be a great way to avoid much but not all of the queuing and chaotic crowds around the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica. The guide was interesting, informative and at times fun. Advertised as a 2 hour tour it actually was more like 3 hours but the time flew as there was so much to see and take in. The clarity of the audio system at times could have been better ( may be clearer if you used your own headphones ) but apart from that we had a great tour.
