Travel for 2 hours north of Bogotá to the city of Zipaquirá, where you will visit the renowned Salt Cathedral. Known as a must-visit in Colombia, it is a monument of faith that has become an architectural piece like no other.  Explore the Roman Catholic church built in the ancient hollows of a salt mine, 180 meters below ground. Marvel at the cathedral’s architecture built within the mine’s remaining caverns and tunnels.  You will have 2 hours inside the Cathedral to visit all the sights as the audio guide explains about the process of salt formation, the architecture, and the mining process within every detail. Inside the mine, there are different pieces of stonework and sculpture that, due to their size and illumination, make this spectacular wonder an engineering jewel, famous around the world. You may also visit the light show at the very end of the tunnels before returning to Bogotá.

Travel deep into the Andean jungle on a 3-hour trek to see the great sights of El Chiflón and La Chorrera waterfalls. Meet your experienced bilingual guide in Bogotá and start the day with a traditional Columbian breakfast at an authentic hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Then, set off by private van to La Chorrera. Drive past the East Hills on the way and stop to take pictures of the paramo of Cruz Verde. Dive into Bogotá’s diversity by joining a city tour. Start by meeting your local guide at your hotel. Proceed first towards the viewpoints of Monserrate. Take the cable car up the mountain to enjoy the most breathtaking views of this city: the whole length of the valley from the best vantage point. After making your way back down La Candelaria, you will walk its cobblestoned streets, surrounded by colonial architecture to the spectacular Gold Museum. Join us on our Coffee Farm experience as we set out from the center of the city and head an hour and a half deeper into the mountains of Bogotá! We will start the day by enjoying a traditional Colombian breakfast together and then go to meet our local farmers. We will discuss what it means to be an organic coffee farm and what the daily tasks of a farmer look like. Walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants. We’ll learn how to hand-pick coffee and process it, and then afterward we will enjoy a delicious cup of coffee prepared in a unique way. If the weather and season permit, we will even get to plant our own coffee! We wrap up the tour with local cuisine for lunch and began the trip back to the city, making brief stops to take pictures of the Paramos ecosystems and the picturesque Bogotá city skyline. In this City tour we will visit the entire city to get to know the most important areas of Bogotá. We will start at Parque la 93, then we go to see El Campín, the place where soccer matches are played and great concerts are held. We will pass by through the front of Monserrate. We will continue our tour to go to the international center where we will see different buildings; among them the National Museum, the Colpatria tower and the Planetarium. We will continue to the northern part of Bogotá where we will pass by through the Chapinero neighborhood, then through the financial center and the gastronomic area called Quinta Camacho. Passing through these areas, we will visit one of the most popular areas -especially at night- which is called the T zone.
