This was super fun! A ride up into the high mountains around Rethymno. Our guide was nice and kept a good eye to make sure everyone was OK. Biggest tip is to buy the buffs they sell for 2 bucks. There is a lot of dirt along the way and the people that didn't have them were having a hard time.

The quad bike safari was fantastic. From start to finish we couldn’t fault the experience. We were collected from our hotel and taken to the centre. The main activity was great. The guide was fantastic (believe he was called Nikolai) and he went through all the safety features and chatted about all the places when we stopped. After the activity had finished, we were dropped back off at the hotel. The value for money was spot on! Would 100% recommend this for activity if you’re looking for something different to do while staying in Crete.

Full description

Choose from a morning or afternoon Quad Bike safari, and benefit from a hotel pick-up from Rethymno, Bali, or Georgiopoulis. Journey to the base in Rethymno town and get kitted out with all the necessary equipment. Listen to a detailed briefing before you set off for some serious off-road fun. Journey up into the mountains of Maroulas, and head for the summit for a 10-minute break to take in the panoramic views. Then, continue on your bike for another 20 minutes to reach a spot where you can relax over coffee at a traditional kafeneion (Greek coffee house). Soak up the peace and quiet of Café Gidospito overlooking beautiful Lake Potami before making your way to the picturesque village of Prassies for a quick snack to refuel after your Quad Bike experience. Return to Rethymno and get dropped off at your hotel to relax and freshen up after your dusty adventure.

Know before you go

  • Each quad is shared by 2 people. If you would like single quads, please make a separate booking for each person
  • A group of 2 is a double quad with 1 driver and 1 passenger. If both participants own a driver's license, they can switch at every stop
  • A group of 3 is 2 drivers and 1 passenger
  • Please bring your driver's license. You must have passed your test at least 1 year before the activity date. Provisional and photo copies are not allowed.
  • The minimum age to drive is 21 years old. Those aged 4 years and above can travel as passengers
  • Vegetarian snacks are also available
  • Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon the tour is offered in English-speaking
