Full description
Start your day trip from Crete at the port of Rethymno or Agios Nikolaos. Select the option to be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, and marvel at the blue and white buildings typical of the island on your way to the harbor. Climb aboard the luxury, high-speed Champion Jet 2 catamaran and journey to Santorini in just 2.5 hours. Upon arrival at the port of Athinios, take a tour of the island by air-conditioned bus. Listen to an informative commentary from your guide (available in English, German, French, Italian, Polish and Russian) about the history of one of the most romantic islands in Greece. Travel through the beautiful countryside en route to the village of Oia at the northernmost tip of the island. Built on the lip of a volcanic caldera, the village offers magnificent views of the blue and white houses studded along the hillside.   Continue to Fira and get plenty of free time to explore the island's capital. Stroll down the picturesque alleys and take in the views of the architecture typical to the Aegean. Browse the shops or enjoy a drink at a bar with stunning views of the volcano and its caldera cliffs. Then, get the option to stay in the capital or go for a 2-hour swim off the black sand beach of Perissa or Perivolos. Alternatively, travel by boat to the caldera (subject to availability) for views of the volcano up close. Depart for Crete at 17:45 and journey back to the Port of Rethymno, where the tour services end. Select the transfer option to be dropped off back at your hotel.

A really nice trip to a picture book island. Yes, it was exhausting and yes, the trip was long, but I knew what I was getting myself into and it was more than worth it for me. Beautiful views, great weather and an excellent tour guide rounded off the day.

Santorini is really worth seeing and I am glad I was there. Still, you don't have to fool yourself. The trip is a pure mass event. The trip with the ferry took 3 hours each time. We left with a delay of 30 minutes; but then drove back 30 minutes later in the evening. Overall, the day is long and exhausting. Based on previous reviews, we didn't take a trip to the volcano or black beach. So we had enough time in the cities. We would do it again and again. I would like to see more information on how to wear masks and how to wear them correctly. All in all, you can definitely recommend the trip. But I also think that it is relatively expensive.

We left Rethymnon at 8 am, arrived at 11 am in Santorini. Then we took the bus to Oia, the scenery is just beautiful. We stayed there just 1 hour but that is enough to discover all the white houses, it is beautiful. Then we left for Fira for 3:30. It was possible to choose to stay in Fira for 3h30, or to go to the beach or to see the volcano. The 3h30 in Fira allows us to be able to eat and to walk. Maria, the French guide was at the top. This excursion was really great despite the journey time of about 2h45 / 3h for the outward and return.
