Discover the paradise island of Elafonisi on a 12-hour tour from Crete. Venture into the foothills of the wild White Mountains, and visit a dream beach in the extreme southwest of Crete. Swim in crystal clear waters, and enjoy panoramic views.
What to Expect
Travel to the foothills of the wild mountain landscape of Crete’s White Mountains, and discover a relaxing beach in the extreme southwest of the island. Drive through the village of Topolia, and stop in the village of Elos.
Marvel at tiny villages on the way to the monastery of Panagia Chrissoskalitissa. One of the most famous monasteries on Crete, Panagia Chrissoskalitissa has a fascinating history that you will learn on a tour of the facility. Next, go to one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete at Kastelli (Deer Island).
Before it’s overgrown by pine and juniper dunes, there is a flat and fine sandy beach that shimmers with pink in places due to the coral. On the opposite island of Kastelli, you can wade through the shallow turquoise lagoon where the water is no more than waist high.
Depart Elafonisi at approximately 15:00, and transfer to the village of Amygdalokefali. Here, you will go to a restaurant with magnificent views, before the return transfer to your hotel.
