Planning Your Visit
When to go
Weather-wise, the best time to visit Cozumel is between the late autumn and early spring, when temperatures remain warm and dry. That said, this is also the peak season, so the island is at its most crowded. If you'd rather avoid the rush but still want to enjoy good weather, your best bet is late spring, before the start of the rainy season in June.
Ride scooters responsibly
Scooters are a fun and highly popular way to get around the island. There are many rental places, with rates around $20-30 per day. However, make sure to exercise care as crashes are very frequent amongst tourists. Wearing a helmet is not only a good idea, but legally mandatory (police are on the look-out for riders without helmets and the fine is $25).

What people are saying about Cozumel
We really enjoyed the snorkeling! Much better than a previous experience! It was great to leisurely swim around at our own pace. And the reef was fabulous! I was a little disappointed in the lunch. There was no buffet, as advertised. But the food was decent and we lucky enough to have very few people in the park.
Gerry or Geraldo was our guide and he was the BEST. We are so glad we did this. We got to eat and learn about so many foods that we would have never tried otherwise. It was so much fun. Honestly the best experience we have had on the island, in addition to scuba diving of course. Worth every penny.
Youssef was absolutely amazing! He answered all of our questions, helped us find gifts to bring back home and let us decide what we wanted to do throughout the trip. Would highly recommend and would do it again!
It’s was wonderful. Not expensive, beautiful and lots of information about bees, nature, and the Mayan culture. Perfect for kids who have short attention spans. Only about an hour long.
It was really cool. Everyone was very friendly and responded to us. We saw very beautiful coral reefs. It was pretty fun.
