What to Expect
Explore one of the most historic cities in Europe on a half-day sightseeing tour of Constanța, the oldest extant city in Romania.

Departing from your hotel, you will tour the Old City by air-conditioned vehicle, admiring some of the most important buildings, such as the art nouveau Casino, the Genoese Lighthouse, the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, and more.

Upon arrival at the Archaeological Museum, look at the 1887 statue of Publius Ovidius Naso, a famous exiled Roman poet and ”singer of tender love” who first described the beauty of the region.

Inside the museum, see exhibits gathered from all over Dobrogea, proving the early presence of an industrious population. Most of the items on display are unique and in a perfect state of preservation. Admire landmark antiquities, such as the “Glykon Snake” and “Fortuna and Pontos” statues.

The discovery of the Roman Mosaic Edifice from the 4th century AD unveiled more than 640 square meters of Roman mosaics, the largest of its kind in southeastern Europe, identifying it as an important part of the ancient city of Tomis.

Finally, take a quick panoramic tour of the summer resort of Mamaia to marvel at the pure white sand beaches of the Black Sea.
