We had an amazing experience at our Colosseum and Roman Forum tour led by Helena, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! Helena’s knowledge and passion for Roman history truly brought the ancient ruins to life. Her archeological background provided us with interesting insights and she was able to answer questions thoroughly, which kept our tour interactive and enriching. The Colosseum was even more impressive than we imagined, and Helena’s detailed explanations about its history, architecture, and gladiatorial contests made it so much more meaningful. The Roman Forum was equally captivating and our guide really helped us envision what it must have been like in ancient Rome. The pace of the tour was perfect, and our guide kept us engaged without feeling rushed. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in Roman history. TIP: wear comfortable shoes, take a water bottle and a snack.

The tour was excellent! I was nervous beforehand about the tour as I expected it to be a lot of walking and I currently have mobility issues. I spoke to our guide before the tour started and he was understanding & reassured me there would be places to rest & they would wait for me (I also didn’t want to slow everyone else down). I did have to stop for one small bit and it IS a lot of walking on very uneven ground, BUT it was also so fascinating and beautiful. There were plenty of points when the guide would stop us all to talk about a particular ruin / historic moment and he was always so considerate about where we stopped so I could sit down where possible. The Roman Forum is just magical. So many historic buildings in such a space. The guide was incredibly knowledgable & passionate without being boring. He kept us all fully engaged and we all learnt so much. The colosseum was very moving & took our breath away. The absolute highlight of our trip and I would recommend it to everyone

  • The entrance ticket fee to the archaeological sites is 16€ for adults; (22€ for the arena option) accompanied by a 2€ reservation fee. The additional amount covers services provided by experienced licensed guides, audio devices, reservation fees, and other tour amenities.
  • During July and August, the guided tour lasts 2 hours.
  • Please note that this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
  • The names provided during the reservation process can be changed up to 72 hours prior to the start of the activity.
  • All guests need to go through security checks before entering the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Please keep in mind that during high season, waiting time may be longer than usual.
  • Don't worry, tours will continue rain or shine, our guides will ensure you have an enjoyable experience no matter the forecast.
  • The tour includes a visit to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The order of these visits can vary and may be subject to internal arrangements at the Colosseum.
