What to Expect
In its ancient walls, Castel Sant'Angelo (literally: Castle of the Holy Angel) enshrines a lifelong history dating back to emperor Adrian who built his tomb here. Pope Paul III of the Farnese dynasty later turned the tomb into a fortress and political residence. This unique must-see site is absolutely worth exploring with your family.

Plunge into its history thanks to a professional guide. Before entering the Castle, you can admire the wonderful Ponte degli Angeli (the Angels' Bridge) adorned by ten huge statues of angels sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Fun learning worksheets of the statutes on the bridge will be given to the kids and will provide you and children with a useful tool to better undertand its history while enjoying it all.
