In this program, you will visit the important Magellan’s Penguin Reservation of Latin America. It combines with the magnificent experience of dolphin watching in their natural habitat.
What to Expect
In this program, you will visit the most important penguin reservation in Latin America. The tour is combined with the magnificent experience of observing dolphins in their natural habitat.
This tour begins at 7.15 am / 7.30 am. All passengers are picked up at their hotel/accommodation.
The first stop will be in Puerto Rawson, Union Beach at about 9.00 am.
Dolphin watching: The world's smallest dolphin. You will navigate until you see the playful dolphins in their habitat. This part of the tour takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Upon return, you'll have some free time for a bite to eat at the Port of Rawson, famous for its seafood. Then you'll go to Punta Tombo, the Magellanic penguins habitat.
Estimated time remaining in this reserve: 1 hour 30 minutes.
There will be some time to observe how the different animals co-habit on the coast, such as Gulls, Skuas, Giant Petrels, Cormorants, Oyster-catchers and duck steams. In this huge eco region, you will see other native creatures, including guanacos, choiques, rabbits and foxes.
As in the previous excursion (Chubut River Valley), you'll visit the town of Gaiman, to admire its culture, some chapels of a very particular architecture and taste the tea.
Approximate return to Puerto Madryn: 6.30 pm.
