Explore a Spanish shipwreck on Parana beach and spot penguins, whales, dolphins, and more in the Punta Loma Natural Reserve before jumping in the water to interact with the sea lions in their natural habitat. These curious animals are not trained nor fed, yet are friendly and used to humans. With the help of an experienced guide, you will learn more about these playful animals in this unique and unforgettable experience.  Choose between hotel pickup and drop-off in Puerto Madryn or come directly to the meeting point where you will be fitted with a neoprene suit before heading down to the water to hop on the boat. After snorkeling and touring, the group will return to the dive center for hot drinks.

After meeting at the dock, we began our journey towards the Punta Loma Natural Reserve, a breeding ground for Sea Lions located 20 km south of the city. Upon arrival, you will be able to see the specimens in their natural habitat from two viewpoints located on a cliff. From there, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and observe these majestic animals as they rest, feed, or play on the rocks and in the nearby water. You also have the opportunity to spot other species of local wildlife, such as seabirds, and walk along a flora interpretation trail. Additionally, the area is known for its rich marine life. The landscape and tranquility of the place make this excursion an unforgettable experience for nature lovers, ecotourists, and photographers. Upon our return, we will embark on a city tour of Puerto Madryn, a place where the Welsh settlers arrived in 1865, offering the perfect blend of nature, history, and regional culture.

We depart early in the morning from your hotel in Puerto Madryn towards the Península Valdés Natural Protected Area, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. After an hour's journey, we arrive at the picturesque ecological village of Puerto Pirámides. Here you can optionally (not included) embark the Traditional Regular Whale Watching of Southern Right Whales between the months of September and November. Next, we head to Estancia San Lorenzo, a traditional Patagonian cattle ranch that is home to the world's largest colony of Magellanic penguins. Here, lunch service is available (not included) with an exquisite spit-roasted lamb, and we will visit the penguin colony located 7 km from the ranch's headquarters. From San Lorenzo, we move to the Punta Norte Reserve to observe, depending on the time of year, one-hair sea lions, southern elephant seals, and occasionally orcas. From there, we begin our return to Puerto Madryn with a stop at the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, a compilation of the natural richness of the peninsula. During the excursion, we have great chances of observing terrestrial wildlife, such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, maras, armadillos, and skunks. At the end of the excursion, you will be transferred back to your accommodation in Puerto Madryn. Hotel name is required to confirm the booking!

Start your tour with a pickup at Piedrabuena Pier in Puerto Madryn. Enjoy a short city tour, visiting some of the highlights of the city and stopping to take in panoramic coastal views. Next, head to the Punta Loma Provincial Reserve to explore some of the trails. One of them is about 500 meters long and invites you to discover the nature reserve's endemic flora on the way to an impressive viewpoint. The other trail leads us to the main panoramic point, where you can observe the sea lion colony up close. Observe the sea lions, see their playful cubs, and watch local sea birds flying over the coastline and settling in their clifftop nests. Get dropped off back in Puerto Madryn at the end of your tour.

Embark on a full-day tour to the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve from Puerto Madryn. Walk through the 3 km natural path to see the Magellanic Penguins in their natural environment during their reproductive time. Start your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Puerto Madryn. Travel to the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve, located 180 km from Puerto Madryn. Once there, walk through the 3 km natural path to see the Magellanic Penguins in their natural environment during their reproductive time. Hear the animals claming for the couples, mating, fighting for the nests, breeding the chicks, or molting their feathers, depending on the season. With their white chests and black backs, the penguins represent a special group of land-sea fauna of Patagonia. Optional: Depending on the weather conditions, the tour goes to Playa Union, offering the option of a dolphin watching (Commerson dolphin), sailing at the ocean, or the Paleontological Museum in Trelew. You will have time to tour the southern part of the Peninsula, crossing wide landscapes of grasslands and undulations, passing through the Salinas Grande and Chica, and outside Punta Delgada, which constitutes the southern end of the peninsula. At Punta Cantor you can admire the Atlantic coast and the fascinating geological formation known as Caleta Valdés. These beaches are usually inhabited, depending on the time of year, by southern elephant seals, the largest seals on the planet. Depending on the time of year and the availability of marine fauna, you can replace the southern area of Las Salinas and Caleta Valdes with Punta Norte. From there you will start your return making a stop at the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, a compendium of the natural wealth of the peninsula. During this excursion you will have great chances to observe terrestrial wildlife, such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, maras, armadillos and skunks. Season: Land excursion All year. Head south from Bariloche on a magnificent journey to the town of El Bolsón. Pass by the Gutierrez and Mascardi lakes, then through the wilderness of Pampa del Toro and La Veranda, where you can take in views of the mighty Ñirihuau and Aspero mountain ranges. Cruise down a sinuous road through Cañadón de la Mosca. A few minutes later, arrive at the small village of Villegas River. Cross the Foyel River, the Quemquemtreu River, and arrive in El Bolsón, a tiny town nestled in a picturesque area at the foot of the Cerro Piltriquitron Mountain. At the local fair in the central square, discover amazing craftwork — proof that the local artisans have achieved an undeniable level of skill in working with wood, clay, metals, stones, dried flowers, among many other materials.  The market is famous throughout Patagonia and consists of more than 230 stands, where you can find wool, knives, preserves, pottery, and more. Spend the rest of your trip touring the ranches that produce fine fruit, jams, and organic processes, and/or visiting the Puelo Lake National Park. Head back to Bariloche after a relaxing day in the countryside.

Experience the terrestrial wildlife and enjoy unparalleled panoramic views as you explore this natural gem. We’ll be waiting for you at the Port of Puerto Madryn to start our excursion to Península Valdés. Your first stop will be at the Istmo Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, where you’ll learn about the flora, fauna, geology, and historical events of the peninsula. From the panoramic viewpoint, enjoy impressive views of Golfo Nuevo, San José, and Isla de los Pájaros. Next, explore various trails and viewpoints that will allow you to get up close to the landscape and wildlife. Depending on the time of year, weather, and tides, visit points of interest such as Caleta Valdes, Punta Cantor, and Punta Norte. Here, be able to observe elephant seals, penguins, and sea lions, and have the option to enjoy lunch (at your own expense). In some seasons, you may even spot orcas in action. If time permits, also visit a nearby penguin colony or the sea lion reserve in Punta Norte. In addition to marine wildlife, have the chance to see terrestrial animals typical of the region, such as guanacos, maras, rheas, foxes, and armadillos, as well as two significant salt flats, the deepest depressions in South America. If conditions don’t allow for a visit to Punta Norte, head to Punta Delgada, in the southeastern tip of the peninsula, where you’ll find a historic lighthouse and an elephant seal colony. Finally, in the afternoon, return to the meeting point at the Port of Puerto Madryn, where your cruise ship will be waiting.

Begin the journey from the port in Puerto Madryn, on a 170 km journey to Punta Tombo, showcasing the vast Patagonian aridness along the way. Upon arrival, visit an Interpretation Center dedicated to the penguins’ life cycle stages and their natural environment. Then, walk among penguins along a 1.5-kilometer trail starting in the Patagonian steppe and reaching the coastal area where the penguins come from the sea to the land. Watch where these adorable animals refurbish their nests, fulfilling their reproductive cycle and raising their chicks. Admire the vast expanse of the colony, filled with nests in every direction. See the penguins peacefully coexist with small rodents and kelp gulls, with occasional visits from guanacos and choiques. After completing the tour, head back to the port for a timely return to your cruise ship. We will be at the city again from 45 to 1:15 minutes before the ship departure.
