Full description

We will start leaving our selected hotels at approximately 11:00 AM to go to the Port of Rawson, where we will have time to walk around the place, and optionally we will be able to do a dolphin watching (not included). We will continue our visit heading to Trelew, where if we wish we can visit the Paleontological Museum (optional, entrance not included) considered the most important in Latin America. We will then make a historical-cultural circuit through the lower valley of the Chubut River, experiencing in person the Welsh culture in Gaiman. Here we will be able to meet the inhabitants of this particular town where Welsh customs are kept alive, such as the chapels and their language. We will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious Welsh tea (not included) and there will be time to visit the local Welsh Museum (entrance not included). After this beautiful day, we will be returning to our selected hotels at approximately 7:00 pm.

We didn’t go on this trip because of the transport provided. Two other persons were in the car when the driver turned up. It had two seats behind the diver and two very small (child) seats basically in the boot with no legroom at all. I’m 6ft 4 so the rear seat was completely out of the question so sitting up front was the only option for me. Consequently the only seat available for my wife was the tiny seat (child seat) effectively in the boot of a car. Not to mention safety concerns and the fact there was no legroom for anyone over 5ft tall,my wife suffers from travel sickness when travelling in the rear of a car. Guide was apologetic but unable to do anything about it. Thanks to our hotel we found a wonderful taxi driver who took us to Gaiman in comfort, gave us a tour with some stops for photos and waited whilst we looked round Gaiman and had the ‘obligatory’ Welsh tea for a fraction of the cost of this fiasco. If you do book this tour, check what vehicle is being provided.
