Discover the Welsh history and culture of Patagonia in the Chubut River Valley on a full-day tour from Puerto Madryn.
Depart Puerto Madryn at approximately 12:00 and transfer to the mouth of the Chubut River at the small fishing port of Playa Union. Continue to Trelew, the largest and most populous city in the low valley of the Chubut River. Enjoy an optional visit to the Museum of Paleontology Egidio Feruglio (MEF), one of Argentina's main scientific institutions dedicated to the research of vertebrate and invertebrate dinosaurs and plants of semi-desert environments.
Enter the heart of the Chubut River Valley. See some of the typical Welsh chapels in the city of Gaiman, the cultural center of the Chubut River Valley’s main Welsh settlements. There will also be the opportunity to learn more about the Welsh community in the Welsh Museum, located in the former station house.
