  • Whale Watching from Peninsula Valdes Full-Day Nature Tour

    1. Whale Watching from Peninsula Valdes Full-Day Nature Tour

Set out in the early morning for Puerto Pirámide where you will take a boat to go whale watching. It is advisable to board very early in the morning for favorable weather. After boarding you will set our course for south of the peninsula, going through Salinas Grande y Chica. The tour arrives at Punta Delgada around midday. After lunch at the El Faro resort you can go down to the cliffs and walk near the sea elephants. Afterwards the tour proceeds to Punta Cantor to see the external coast of the peninsula and get to Caleta Valdés (also known as Valdés Inlet). Here you will view geological formations before heading back to the Ameghino Isthmus. There is a good chance of seeing some of the wild land animals such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, maras (Patagonian hare), armadillos or skunks. At sunset, we will arrive at Puerto Madryn. * Whale watching season is June - December. The rest of the...

It was wonderful! Incredible to see so many whales so close! But the entire day was awesome! We saw so many animals from Patagonia Atlántica, Guanaco, Mara, Pingüino, Sea elephants and more! Plus we had amazing explanations about nature and animals od the peninsula thanks to the guide! Really worth the price I recommend 100%!

  • Puerto Madryn: Punta Tombo Penguin Reserve

    2. Puerto Madryn: Punta Tombo Penguin Reserve

After pickup at your hotel in Puerto Madryn, drive along the Patagonian roads, until you arrive at Punta Tombo Provincial Reserve. See local animals like guanacos, choiques, liebres, and other wildlife that’ll make the experience much more enjoyable.  Punta Tombo is the place where Magellanic penguins choose to carry out another reproduction cycle every year. Once there, you will stay at the reserve for no less than three hours in order to walk along the paths and enjoy them up close and personal.  Observe them in their birth nest or while swimming in the sea. Visit the Punta Tombo Interpretative Centre or have lunch at the cafeteria restaurant (not included).

la excursion es buena pero el viaje es largo. 2:30 hs desde Madryn. Sería bueno que incluyan la entrada en el costo. El lugar para comer en punta tombo es malo y caro.

  • Puerto Madryn: 3-Hour Snorkeling Trip with Sea Lions

    3. Puerto Madryn: 3-Hour Snorkeling Trip with Sea Lions

Explore a Spanish shipwreck on Parana beach and spot penguins, whales, dolphins, and more in the Punta Loma Natural Reserve before jumping in the water to interact with the sea lions in their natural habitat. These curious animals are not trained nor fed, yet are friendly and used to humans. With the help of an experienced guide, you will learn more about these playful animals in this unique and unforgettable experience.  Choose between hotel pickup and drop-off in Puerto Madryn or come directly to the meeting point where you will be fitted with a neoprene suit before heading down to the water to hop on the boat. After 3 hours of snorkeling and touring, the group will return to the dive center for hot drinks.

The office staff were very helpful with gear. We had two guides who were very helpful. The event was just as advertised. I would do it again.

  • Puerto Madryn: Scuba Dive and Snorkeling with Sea Lions

    4. Puerto Madryn: Scuba Dive and Snorkeling with Sea Lions

Meet your local guide and depart to the Punta Loma Natural Reserve, the oldest natural reserve in the Valdes Peninsula. This is the only spot in the area that hosts a colony of 700 sea lions all year round. Dive into the teal-colored water just below the white cliffs that are home to hundreds of black cormorants. You’ll sail for 30 minutes in the waters of Golfo Nuevo to reach the dive departure point. After the technical and safety talk, get into the water with a group of up to 6 people to start an easy dive. Sea lions are really curious creatures, and almost never reluctant to play with new visitors. You’ll be able to explore the area for 45 minutes to get closer to these furry friends, and then get ready to discover other kinds of fauna and marine vegetation. If you have no experience in scuba diving, you can do some snorkeling on the water’s surface where sea lions will also approa...

A super friendly and very professional treatment! We loved that they were very respectful of the local fauna and at no time did we think it was a massive tour. 100% recommended and the best memories we have in Argentina.

Nice family run company, friendly and good equipment, small group of 4-5 with each guide. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides, we had a good experience!
