Our guide Isabella was amazing. She filled us in on history, little known facts, and fun conversation. She was knowledgeable and delightful. I would recommend anyone taking this tour to ask for Isabella! The tour itself took us not only to the restaurants that were authentic gathering places for the local Chinese community but also to the park where they gather, a Buddhist Temple, Fortune Cookie Factory, we met and enjoyed a Tea Master, and found the corner where 4 neighborhoods housing different cultures came together. After driving past the China Town gate a couple years ago I have been wanting to walk through ever since. This was the way to do it!

This tour was a fabulous adventure through Chinatown, San Francisco. While the food tastings were way more than I ever expected they would be (come with an empty stomach), the fascinating information Robert provided made this experience unforgettable! Robert’s knowledge of the history of Chinatown was extensive. And his choices of food stops were exquisite!!

Terrific experience

This tour was far more than I expected. Our small group heard some San Francisco history, visited the oldest Chinese temple in the US, had scrumptious treats and savory foods. I chose this as part of my boyfriend’s birthday weekend festivities; we both thoroughly enjoyed it and have recommended it to our friends as a must-do in San Francisco!
