What to Expect
Enjoy time in the nature surrounding Chiang mai on a full-day in the verdant Sri Lanna National Park, a forested nature reserve with abundant wildlife. The area is also host to a large lake formed by the Mae Ngad Dam that feeds the Ping River that is the lifeblood of Chiang Mai. Spend the day cycling and kayaking in this extraordinary landscape encircled by mountains.
After a short transfer just outside Chiang Mai city, you will begin your 12.4-mile (20 kilometer) cycle through fertile orchards and paddy fields before entering the national park and cycling across the dam.
Then switch to kayaks and begin a 3.1-mile (5 kilometer) paddle on the glassy lake beside the jungle, spotting monkeys and countless bird species. Stop for a tasty Thai lunch at a floating restaurant and then spend the afternoon exploring freely and swimming in the pure water. In the late afternoon, paddle back to your embarking point and ride home by air-conditioned van.
