My daughter and I loved this ride through a lush forest north of Paris. The horses were calm and gentle, and the staff at La Horse Club very caring. Alexis was kind enough to help me on and off my horse (I am no longer very spry!), and he also took some photos of us on our horses at our request. If you are leaving from Paris, I would recommend taking the local train out of Gare du Nord to Chantilly-Gouvieux station and arranging in advance for an Uber or taxi to pick you up there (and to bring you back for an afternoon train after the ride), because going all the way by car is very difficult and time-consuming due to the traffic in and around central Paris.
My ride was absolutely magical. I was only able to sign up for a private ride, which initially I was disappointed. But I am glad I was solo with just Julie the lovely lady that runs the stable. The horses were all healthy and beautiful. I had ridden in my youth English style and this is the style used here. We trotted and cantered through the most picturesque woods. I would 100% recommend it!!
Smooth experience was worried when I couldn't find tickets on the official website bought them here and got through just fine lots to see him do could easily spend a day here and picnic in the park
This is the highlight of our trip to France! We had a fabulous time, the horses were amazing, and the Chantilly woods were lovely. You won't be disappointed!
