What People Are Saying About Chania
We booked this tour less than 24 hours before we wanted to take it, and even though it's winter and many things are closed, there was no problem. Dimitrios was an amazing guide. He has lived in this area for almost his whole life and so took us to places that most people would never see. We learned more about Cretan culture, history, food and wine in a day then we ever thought possible. We greatly enjoyed the visit to the historical monastery, with its quaint little museum of old olive oil making equipment. We then visited a modern facility to see how olive oil is made today. The tour there was excellent, and we also tasted some of the farm's award-winning wines. Our day ended with an unforgettable lunch in an authentic, family-style Cretan restaurant. We couldn't believe how informative our guide Dimitrios was, and his warm hospitality was unlike anything we'd experienced any where else.
Fantastic tour. The landscape is simply amazing. Good and feasible hike even for non-experts. Our guide, Nikos, excellent person. Great swim in the Lybian Sea at the end of the tour. I would definitely repeat it.
