Palermo is Sicily's cultural, economic and touristic capital. It is a city rich in history, culture, art, music and food. Numerous tourists are attracted to the city for its good Mediterranean weather, its renowned gastronomy and restaurants, its Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque churches, palaces and buildings, and its nightlife. A particular highlight is the colorful fruit, vegetable and the fish market at the heart of the city, known as the Vucciria.

After lunch (optional), sightseeing by bus and departure to the city Cefalù.

Cefalù is a city and commune in the province of Palermo, located on the northern coast of Sicily, Italy on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Every year it attracts millions of tourists from all parts of Sicily and from all over Italy and Europe. In summer the population can triple, creating a young atmosphere and lively nightlife.

Of Greek foundation, the city evidently derived its name from its situation on a lofty and precipitous rock, forming a bold headland projecting into the sea.

The Cathedral, begun in 1131 is built in an Arab-Norman style architecture. The exterior is well preserved, and is largely decorated with interlacing pointed arches; the windows also are pointed. On each side of the façade is a massive four story tower.
